May 26 – Living Life Fully

To live life fully means we are open to receiving all possibilities the universe has to offer in this moment. To live is to experience, and that means being present to what is happening around us. When we live life fully, we are not only aware and in tune with the present moment or the universe itself—we are also at one with ourselves. We are mindful of the course of our own lives and our place in the world. We embrace being who we are completely, because we understand there is no one else quite like us.

On the topic of living life fully, Anne Wilson Schaef writes:

“Each of us is a cosmos unto ourselves. When we are living our lives fully, we are separate persons, and we are also one with the universe. We are ourselves with our boundaries, and we are also connected with all things.

Luckily, we are not really asked to live anyone else’s life. All we have to do is live our own, and that seems to be quite enough for us.

When we live life fully, we allow ourselves to taste the range of our experiences. We see what we see, feel what we feel, and know what we know. We accept every opportunity to live out of our own souls.”

Life is special because each one is unique, and yet we are all connected by the shared experience of living. When we live life to the fullest, we make the most of each day, never taking a single moment for granted. We don’t squander our precious time trying to be someone else, for we know we cannot be anyone but who we are. To live life fully takes a deep, true understanding of oneself and one’s desires. We must know our own heart. Embrace the person we are. Understand that each of us brings a unique talent and gift to the world, and together we add to the vibrancy and brilliancy of the universe as a whole. We all have a place, and when we live life fully, we recognize that our place is exactly where we are in this moment.
